Swanpool Beach Falmouth
This lovely little beach on the edge of Falmouth is a great place to visit for the day or longer.
Either with the family or your kayak fishing friends.
The sand is golden and the water is clean and clear there is plenty of space so launching should not be a problem.
Launching can be done to the left-hand side of the beach, next to the cafe. Here there “is” or “should” be a clear area to get down the water.
There is a large car park directly opposite the beach where you can safely park all day.
The fees are in line with the rest of the car parks in the area. Meaning they are not overly expensive.
There is also parking on the roads around the car park but these fill up quickly.
I “assume” these are cheaper or free as all the spaces on the roads when I arrived were full and the park was half empty.
There are clean toilet facilities nearby (next to the car park).
Bins are on-site and readily available.
At Swanpool Beach Falmouth, The cafe and shop are well stocked.
They have friendly staff and sell hot and cold food as well as ice creams and other essentials like a bucket and spade or two for the kids.
Everything seems reasonably priced for the area.
The ground is flat and the beach is also a nice gradient making launching a doddle.
Nice calm flat water on most days, getting out in the kayak shouldn’t be a problem from here “most of the time”.
All in all a great place to launch your kayak from all year.
